IRVINE, Calif., February 20, 2009 – Chambers Group, Inc. (Chambers Group), a California-based environmental firm, certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), and Small Business Enterprise (SBE), is pleased to announce the addition of Cimberly Gonzales as Senior Sales Representative and Harold Brewer, RPA, as Senior Archaeologist/Principal.

As Chambers Group’s new Senior Sales Representative Cimberly Gonzales is responsible for driving new business development and strategic alliances throughout Southern California within the transportation and water resources/water quality markets. She has over 15 years of experience working in the industry and has successfully brought in sizable projects to her professional teams due to her thorough research, diligent pursuit of consultant opportunities, and exceptional client communication/service. Ms. Gonzales holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing from California State University at Long Beach. She supports Orangewood Children’s Foundation.

Mr. Brewer will be responsible for overseeing the Reno office’s cultural resources projects and assisting in bringing in new clients. He has more than 13 years of experience in cultural resources management and compliance monitoring involving archaeological, paleontological, and prehistoric and historic resources. He brings to Chambers Group extensive field experience as well as experience in identifying, recording, evaluating, and mitigating cultural resources. Mr. Brewer has a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology/ Archaeology from the University of California at Riverside.

CHAMBERS GROUP, INC. WINS ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECTS

Chambers Group, Inc. (Chambers Group) was recently awarded six projects throughout the Southern California and Reno, Nevada regions. The projects range from sediment removal to the development of a Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan.

The projects awarded include:


  • San Dimas Canyon Reservoir – Chambers Group will be responsible for the sediment removal at this project location;
  • County of San Bernardino – Chambers Group will be responsible for developing the scope of work and framework of the forthcoming County's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan, which will include prioritizing potential reduction measures based on providing the highest emission reduction at the lowest cost;
  • Moreno Valley’s Reche Vista; Ragner Benson – Teaming effort with UP Engineering;
  • Yeringtion; and Golden Predator; - Teaming effort with Enviroscientists.
  • Municipal Water District of Orange County - Dana Point Desalination Project – Phase 3, General Solar Energy Projects/CEC.

Environmental Planning Department grows by three
Chambers Group, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Albert Armijo, Paula Fell, and Roma Stromberg to its environmental planning department, headed by Dr. James Smithwick. Mr. Armijo and Ms. Fell are based in Irvine and Ms. Stromberg is based in Redlands. They will have a responsibility to continue to provide current clients with exceptional service, as well as, the responsibility to market to prospective clients.

Mr. Armijo has more than 25 years of experience in land use planning and environmental documentation for public and private sector clients. He has extensive experience in interpreting and composing land use regulations, policies, procedures and planning documents and has established good working relationships with elected and appointed officials and municipal staffs. Mr. Armijo holds a Master of Arts degree in History and American Studies from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Comparative Culture from the University of California, Irvine.
Ms. Fell has over 14 years experience in environmental analysis and land use planning. She has prepared and managed a variety of environmental documents under CEQA and NEPA including Initial Studies, Mitigated Negative Declaration, Environmental Impact Reports, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Studies for federal, state, regional and local agencies, and private clients. Ms. Fell holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from California State University, Fullerton, California and a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas.

Ms. Stromberg is an environmental planner with over 19 years experience in planning, development and environmental review. Her technical skills are in CEQA and NEPA compliance, land use planning, and noise and air quality analysis. She has extensive experience in project management involving project budgeting and scheduling, quality control, and project presentation. Ms. Stromberg earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management from West Coast University, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Planning and Transportation from California State University, San Diego.
