Biological Resources and Regulatory Permitting for the South Region Landfills
(County of Orange Integrated Waste Management Department)

Chambers Group is currently assisting the County of Orange Integrated Waste Management Department (IWMD) to support the federal and state-listed endangered and threatened species management responsibilities of South Region Landfills. A majority of the work is taking place at the Prima Deshecha Landfill. A team of biologists, botanists, restoration ecologists, and landscape architects are completing tasks such as: coastal California gnatcatcher surveys; least Bell’s vireo survey; biological mitigation site monitoring; implementation of annual brown-headed cowbird trapping program; assisting with NCCP, State, and Federal regulatory planning; providing additional California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation, updating General Development Plan (GDP), Master Plan of Arterial Highways (MPAH) and supplemental Environmental Assessment (EA); performing as-needed biological consulting services; assisting with contractor coordination; performing as-needed biological services at closed landfills.
