Focused 3rd Party Peer Review of Draft EIR, Wind Energy Project

Chambers Group conducted a focused 3rd Party Peer Review of the DEIR, BRTR, FEIR, relevant resource agency protocols, and many technical studies on behalf of a confidential client for a proposed 300 MW Wind Turbine Project in unincorporated Kern County near the City of Mojave. The peer review was designed to determine whether the project. Appropriately identified and analyzed adverse impacts to biological resources and adequately incorporated feasible mitigation for significant impacts to biological resources. Chambers’ review resulted in an increased understanding of protections necessary for the project.

Cultural Resources Inventory, Granite Fox Power Plant,
(Sempra Energy)

A cultural resources inventory was conducted on over 12,000 acres within the proposed Granite Fox Power Plant Project Area to evaluate the potential for adverse effects from construction of the plant and facilities in Washoe County, Nevada and Lassen County, California. The inventory project documented historic and and recoverable resources that aided in planning of the project.

Cultural Resources Inventory, Reese River Geothermal Field,
(Sierra Geothermal Power Corp.)

Chambers Group was retained by Sierra Geothermal Power Corporation to conduct a Class III cultural resources inventory of approximately 524 acres, including 19.27 miles of seismic lines, for proposed geothermal exploration activities in the Reese River Valley, at the northern end of the Shoshone Mountains. The project area in Lander County, Nevada is managed by the BLM Battle Mountain Field Office.
