CEQA IS/MND, Multiple Sites
(Los Angeles Unified School District)

Chambers Group provided CEQA project management and environmental support for the New School Construction Program. Chambers Group prepared project schedules, budgets, and scopes. Chambers Group services included all required public and county notices; notices of exemption; CEQA EIRs; heath risk assessments; biological and cultural technical reports; and air and noise reports during the assessment of new school sites. Chambers Group also prepared and coordinated the environmental review process for the projects with the LAUSD Office of Environmental Health and Safety, and prepared LAUSD Board briefings and presentations for the K-12 schools.

CEQA EIRs, Master Plan Program,

Long Beach Community College District)

Chambers Group provided CEQA services to the Long Beach Community College District (LBCCD) for five years. Chambers Group prepared two Program EIRs for the Master Plans for the two Long Beach City College campuses, the Liberal Arts, and Pacific Coast campuses. These Program EIRs streamlined the CEQA process for the implementation of the Bond Program construction activities. Chambers Group also prepared four PEIR Addendums and prepared an Initial Study for a proposed property acquisition.    

CEQA Documentation, New School Construction
(Hesperia Unified School District)

Chambers Group prepared an IS/MND for construction of an elementary school in the unincorporated community of Oak Hills in San Bernardino County, adjacent to the City of Hesperia. The document proposed plans to acquire 17.7 acres of vacant land and construct an “all interior” designed school encompassing approximately 66,440 square feet of new building development plus 17,280 square feet of modular space. The school will have an enrollment capacity of 1,000 students. The document was approved.

CEQA Documentation, Bond Measure Program
(Coast Community College District)

Chambers Group prepared Program EIRs for the Orange Coast College (OCC) and Golden West College (GWC) Facility Master Plans, Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach. The Facility Master Plan outlined capital improvements and proposed construction of new buildings, renovation, modernization and additions to existing facilities, demolition of existing buildings, and landscaping enhancements. Major topics analyzed included local traffic/circulation and parking; air quality and noise; neighborhood impacts and land use compatibility.

CEQA Documentation, East Campus Infrastructure Improvements

University of California Riverside)

Chambers Group prepared a Negative Declaration (ND) for the East Campus Infrastructure Improvements. These improvements included new or upgraded improvements to utility lines, sanitary sewer capacity, domestic water service, electrical service, heating capacity, chilled water distribution system, and telecommunication facilities. The improvements were addressed in the 1990 UCR LRDP Program EIR. Project impacts were short-term construction impacts.
