Word Processor

Position Requirements:

  • Document formatting and print production
  • Format company documents (letters, reports, proposals, employee resumes, etc.) to conform to company style guidelines, or other style guidelines as instructed
  • Proofread company documents as part of the formatting process
  • Print production and binding of company documents
  • Duplicate CDs/DVDs containing company documents for clients
  • Enter CRM data into Deltek Vision including client, contacts, opportunities, descriptions, etc.
  • Serve as resident Microsoft Office specialist
  • Assist marketing department with other duties as needed including data entry, document updates and other tasks as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive experience with formatting and styles in Microsoft Word (2003 and 2007) is a must.
  • Extensive experience using: Microsoft Office- Excel; PowerPoint and Access; Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop.
  • Experience using Deltek Vision (6.1).
  • Excellent grammar, language, and communication skills; ability to check documents for grammatical, usage, spelling and clarity errors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with short deadlines.
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in A/E/C industry.
  • Degree in graphic arts or liberal arts preferred.

Architectural Historian

Chambers Group has an immediate need for an Architectural Historian for various projects in Southern California and potentially other states. Candidate will conduct architectural research and historic structure evaluations in support of project needs and write sections of project reports. Candidate should meet Caltrans/BLM/USFS requirements of qualifications. Candidate will work with technical field and office staff, including managers and administrative staff, to ensure that projects meet quality standards. The position has the potential to convert to full-time, salaried position.

Assistant / Associate Biologists
(temporary)

Chambers Group has an immediate need for Assistant and Associate Biologists with 2-plus years of related experience in wildlife biology for some high profile projects. The right candidate will demonstrate initiative, good verbal and written communication skills, field skills and knowledge of ecology, conservation biology and restoration, and creativity. Experience in performing focused wildlife surveys and experience in Southern California biological resources is important. The successful candidate should have progressive experience in environmental consulting, and a graduate degree in biological sciences or related discipline. Project/task management experience is a plus. Lab-related biology degrees and experience need not apply.

Senior Biologist/Project Manager
(full-time)

Chambers Group has an IMMEDIATE need for senior biologists/project managers with 7 years of overall experience in natural resources, biology and solid project management. Project management experience should include management of multiple projects, both large and small, experience dealing with agencies, staff and subcontractors, and complete familiarity with project budget management, work schedules and staffing issues. Experience in Southern California is important. Work is available immediately and will be full-time. This work will be done in the office with field visits, as needed, to manage projects. BA in Natural Sciences or related field. Lab-related biology degrees and experience need not apply.

Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager
(full-time)

Chambers Group is looking for a seasoned environmental professional. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of recent experience in preparing and managing CEQA and NEPA documents. This position will be responsible for managing project teams of in-house technical staff and subconsultants in the preparation of complex environmental documents within prescribed schedules and budgets. The ability to lead and work as part of the team is critical while maintaining constant and positive communication with clients. This senior level position is also responsible for supplementing our business development team by seeking out new work from existing and new clients. The ideal candidate needs to possess strong interpersonal skills and preferably, has established industry ties to potential public- and private-sector clients in the Inland Empire. The successful candidate must have a BA/BS degree in environmental studies, planning or a related discipline.  A MA/MS degree is preferred.
